preschool
my little girl is starting preschool tomorrow. the excitement in this house is overwhelming. Luther is even excited and he hasn't yet realized that he will be alone with me and his torturer-Julian-tomorrow.
she has all her clothes picked out and the blanket that she will sleep with at nap time. She has her breakfast planned and has already decided on all the things that she will play with.
i hope she is not disappointed.
julian and i are going to miss her so very much.

so is it real preschool or daycare?
isn't school over for the summer?

i'm confused.
I was going to ask the same as Emily! It's daycare, I think....but they do art things and follow a sort of schedule that would be similar to preschool. And since she's never been, she won't know the difference!! (That's my experience from working in daycare!)

it's something fun for annabelle to do for the month that we are here. she's been begging to go to school since she was 2 yo and when she found out that there was a preschool she hasn't stopped asking to go.
i'm not sure what a "real" preschool is. She is in a classroom with kids between 4/5 years old. They do simple lessons and group play. There is a "daycare" for the infants and toddlers in the same building, but she is in preschool.
I don't consider it daycare, b/c we don't need daycare. If I did, Julian would be there, not Bella. :) He's the one i could use a break from.
we are moving in august and hope that a transition into a bigger preschool will be made easier by starting out in a smaller one. also, she is very smart, but has a hard time with patience and listening, so i'm hoping the routine and rules of being in school will help her before she starts kindergarten in TX.
